We are excited to announce the ECSA Focus Meeting 2025, themed “Estuarine Restoration: From Theory to Practice,” taking place from 19th to 23rd May 2025 in Antwerp, Belgium. This conference aims to explore critical questions surrounding the adaptation of estuaries to global change and the role of nature-based solutions in addressing these challenges.
About the Conference: Estuaries are among the most productive ecosystems on Earth, providing numerous essential ecosystem services. However, they have been significantly impacted by various anthropogenic pressures. In response, a range of restoration measures have been implemented, with nature-based solutions increasingly seen as a promising approach to mitigating environmental issues. The ECSA Focus Meeting 2025 will showcase results from the Scheldt estuary and bring together international expertise to discuss the scientific, legal, and societal aspects of estuarine restoration.
Call for Abstracts: We are pleased to announce that the submission dates for abstracts have been confirmed and will last from October 14 to January 31, 2025. We invite researchers, practitioners, companies and students to submit their abstracts to contribute to the conference discussions.
