ABSTRACT SUBMISSION IS NOW CLOSED!
Hello everyone,
Please join us at ECSA’s next local meeting Estuarine restoration: from theory to practice, which will take place in Antwerp, Belgium from 19-23 May 2025.
We are inviting researchers, practitioners, companies and students to submit their abstracts to contribute to the conference discussions. To achieve this, the deadline to submit your abstracts has been extended! The NEW DEADLINE is 17th of February 2025!
Aims: This conference aims to explore critical questions surrounding the adaptation of estuaries to global change and the role of nature-based solutions in addressing these challenges.
Showcase: The event will showcase results from the Scheldt estuary and bring together international expertise to discuss the scientific, legal, and societal aspects of estuarine restoration.
Challenges and solutions: Estuaries are among the most productive ecosystems on Earth, providing numerous essential ecosystem services. However, they have been significantly impacted by various anthropogenic pressures. In response, a range of restoration measures have been implemented, with nature-based solutions increasingly seen as a promising approach to mitigating environmental issues.
